Born from the COVID-19 pandemic
New Challenge
"We want to deliver Miyazaki's delicious fruits to more people"
From such feelings, Kaste-ri's "Miyazaki Fruit Butter" was born.
The trigger was the COVID-19 pandemic. It all started with the encounter with fruit farmers in Miyazaki Prefecture who had lost their sales channels and were facing hardships.
"For the farmers who truly grow delicious fruits, I want to use a lot of their produce in my products."
That strong desire pushed forward the product development.
Also, there were requests from fans of Kaste-ri's popular product "Butter Sand" asking, "We want to buy just the butter part," which paved the way for development.

The blessings of Miyazaki, just as they are
'Miyazaki Fruit Butter' was completed after about one year of development and many trials and errors.
We also took on crowdfunding and created this carefully crafted product with the support of many people.
The flavors selected are three that represent tropical Miyazaki: "Mango," "Strawberry," and "Hyuganatsu" (a type of citrus).
"The deliciousness of Miyazaki's fruits just as they are."
The only ingredients used are fruits from Miyazaki Prefecture, Takachiho fermented butter, and just a small amount of beet sugar.
No preservatives, colorings, fragrances, or other additives are used, allowing the natural power of the ingredients to shine through.

Technology that harnesses the power of fruit
"We want to deliver Miyazaki's delicious fruits to more people."
The manufacturer, "Miyazaki Nagatomo Farm," was one of the first in the country to introduce the "low-temperature vacuum kettle" and has honed the technology to process fruits in their most delicious state.
By heating at as low a temperature and for as short a time as possible compared to typical jams, we maximize the natural sweetness of the fruit and keep the use of sugar to a minimum.
'Miyazaki Fruit Butter' is a simple spread that combines such delicious jam with fermented butter from Miyazaki Prefecture.
Because it is simple, the high quality of the materials and the craftsmanship of the artisans stand out in this piece.
"Delivering the seasonal ingredients of Miyazaki tightly packed into a single jar"
── That is the shared sentiment of Nagatomo Farm and Kater-i.

From remote regions to the whole country
Mr. Masashi Shiiba, the owner of "Kate-ri," gained experience 13 years ago in Tokyo by launching new stores and managing operations at a major restaurant chain.
The Great East Japan Earthquake became an opportunity to reconsider how to live, and in the year I turned 30, I chose the path of returning to my village.
Shiiba Village is one of Japan's three great hidden regions, located in the mountainous area of Miyazaki Prefecture.
In this land rich with nature, where deep mountains and clear rivers flow, and tradition breathes, the old ways of life and scenery still remain.
It is precisely because this place cannot be said to have good transportation access that,
"With processed products that make use of local ingredients, Shiiba-san wanted to deliver the charm of Shiiba to people far away."
Also, there were requests from fans of Kaste-ri's popular product "Butter Sand" asking, "We want to buy just the butter part," which paved the way for development.

The husband and wife team launched "Kate-ri" together and continue to make sweets carefully with a small team. Their popular product, "Miyazaki Butter Sandwich," consistently releases more than three new flavors annually, sparing no effort to deliver "new deliciousness" to their customers.
As a confectionery workshop in a remote area that values the blessings of nature and connections with people, we will continue to share the deliciousness of Miyazaki with the whole country.

For your breakfast table every morning
Spread generously on your favorite bread such as white bread, baguette, or country bread. It will surely make for a luxurious morning, as if you’ve arrived at a tropical hotel.

A perfect companion for your drinks
Wrap in plastic wrap and shape into a stick, then chill and firm it overnight in the freezer to create an appetizer that pairs well with white wine or champagne. We recommend placing it on salty crackers. (Since mango and strawberry are less likely to firm up, they can be enjoyed deliciously by placing them directly on crackers.)

Fruit-Scented Dressing
If you want to enjoy the rich fruit butter until the very last bit, after finishing it, put 15ml each of olive oil and white wine vinegar, and a pinch of salt into the empty jar, close the lid, and shake it well to create a smooth fruit dressing. Add black pepper or sugar to taste, and enjoy it with your preferred flavor.
